First, thank you! Thank you for taking the time to learn about this project. Thank you for giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak to you on what role he is asking you to play in seeing Liberty County changed forever. God is doing amazing things through Freedom Church and we know this is only the beginning. We want you to be a part!

When you look through the Bible, you see moment after moment where God does amazing and miraculous things. While we know God is the power behind those amazing things, he always involves people in the process. It is something that moves me about God: he wants us involved in his plan to see humanity restored.

For some of us it means a lifetime of service in vocational ministry. For others, it is outside the four walls. For others still, God is calling you to move the Kingdom financially. ALL are important! Whatever your role, I want to say thank you for being willing to let God use you to help make the miraculous happen.

Monique and I are so grateful for you, your support, and we ask you continue to pray with us as we fulfill this mission to see Liberty County changed for eternity. God bless you!

PHASE 2

At the end of 2024, we were able to complete a 7550 square-foot building, Phase 1, which serves us now as a 284 seat sanctuary. We never could’ve imagined in only nine months after opening this $450,000 facility that we would already be out of room, but we’ve gone from 225 people in January 2025 to over 500 across three services by November 2025. Truth is, we ran out of room so fast that it has necessitated another facility.

Phase 2 is a 15,000 square-foot worship center that will not only allow us to open with 450 seats that we could expand to 800, it creates additional room for a production studio, nursing mothers room, and two meeting rooms. This new facility will also allow us to convert our existing sanctuary into additional kids ministry space that we desperately need right now.

We are looking to raise at least $750,000.

For a sanctuary this size, the average costs per square foot in the United States is $300. $300 x 15,000 is $4.5 million. We know of two other churches who completed 16,000 sq ft facilities that were over $6 million. We are doing it here for an estimated $80 per sq ft. The Bible commands that we be good stewards of what God gives. We believe this is evidence that we are doing our best to steward well. Based on hard quotes from contractors and vendors and estimated costs based on the fact we just did this, we are estimating Phase 2 to cost around $1.2 million, which is not only an insanely low cost, but very doable based on our last buildout.

We are not building another building because we want to LOOK LIKE God is doing something.
We need another building because God IS doing something.

We’ve had over 97 people lift their hands this year alone (2026) to make a decision for Jesus. We have kid’s ministry classes that are bursting at the seams. Our Alpha class is literally packed into Building 1 every Sunday. The truth is, we need space, we need to make room.

We are looking to raise at least $750,000 for this project which will ease the monthly mortgage burden one we finish the buildout.

Interestingly enough, the church is the only place where a dollar can turn into a soul. We are working hard to be good and productive ground. Our growth, the decisions, the life change, this is evidence of God being in this.

We are not asking you to give to a campaign. We are asking you to stir your faith and give towards lives being changed for eternity.

God is moving and we want to always have a yes in our hearts for whatever God wants to do next. This isn’t about buildings. It is about needing space.

We are simply making room to see God do even more.

Truth is, I never imagined we’d be here in less than 5 years. But dream with me. Believe with me. Let’s see what else God wants to accomplish on this 12 and a half acres in Liberty Texas.

PARKING

The first thing we are going to tackle is parking. Once we break ground the day after Easter, we will lose 1/3 of our existing parking. In order to alleviate parking issues going forward, we will create a 2 1/2 acre asphalt parking lot on the back of our property. Parking will still be available in the front, but a secondary entrance in the back will be uti, which is already going to be a welcomed feature based on the fact that we currently have parking issues. We hope to have this parking lot completed by Easter Sunday.

BUILDOUT

Our plan is to break ground the day after Easter, which will allow our concrete and plumbing experts to finish the job by the end of April, which is when the building will be delivered. At that point, TDH erectors out of Livingston will start the process of building the shell. This includes the frame, roof, sheet metal sides, and insulation. Once they are finished, we will start the process of building out the rooms, walls, etc. in the sanctuary area. Once we get the sanctuary built and a certificate of occupancy in hand, we will focus on, the existing sanctuary in order to renovate it for additional kid’s ministry classes.

COMPLETION

We would love to be able to start using the new sanctuary sometime mid-fall, but we expect completion to be end of 2026, and at the latest, January 2027. All of this depends on the variety of factors from contractor availability to potential setbacks or issues that need mitigation, engineering, and permits to whether related issues. No matter what, we believe God is in this and no matter what he will see us through!

Freedom Church Capital Campaign Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be asked to support the campaign?
We would love for every family who calls Freedom home to be a part of this effort.  It is our hope that every family will make a truly sacrificial pledge to the Forward23 Capital Campaign.

Can I make my pledge online?
Yes, simply click HERE or go to www.freedomdl.com/give and select “Forward23 Capital Campaign” to make a one-time or recurring gift. You can even set it up for automatic monthly withdrawal.

To what extent is a campaign commitment tax deductible?
Gifts to Freedom Church and the Forward23 Capital Campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  The application of such laws varies with individual circumstances.  Donors with specific questions regarding tax deductibility should contact their attorney or financial advisor.

What if I would like to give stocks, real estate, or some other kind of gift?
To make a donation like this, please reach out to Pastor Jason at (936) 367-9116.

How will I be recognized for my commitment?
The most important recognition you will receive is ultimately that of God Himself; remember that God is not outdone in generosity!  Freedom will recognize your gift if you would like. Donor recognition is a significant feature of every capital campaign, and these campaigns often include naming opportunities to recognize significant gifts to the campaign.  Contact Pastor Jason for information about these opportunities.

Is my pledge legally binding?
A pledge is not legally binding; it is a gift, one you have made through your own discernment process with God.  All we ask is that you do your best to fulfill your pledge and advise us of any changes that may affect your commitment.

Will my pledge be confidential?
All pledges will be kept as confidential as possible.  Only the people responsible for maintaining the records will have access to your pledge.

Bequest Through Your Will

A simple way to make a significant future gift is to name the church as beneficiary to receive all (or a portion) of the proceeds of an existing life insurance policy. You will receive a tax deduction for the cash surrender value, thus reducing your tax liability.

Purchase a New Life Insurance Policy
Name the church as Owner and Beneficiary of a new life insurance policy.

Retirement Accounts
Funds from IRA’s or company plans beyond the comfortable support of yourself or loved ones may be given (like life insurance proceeds) to the parish by designating Freedom as your official beneficiary.

Personal Property
Gifts of personal property are always welcome, including collections, royalty, and mineral rights. Charitable tax deductions are available in the year of the gift.

Real Estate
We are happy to discuss the possible gift of land, a house, or vacation home. You will receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value, and avoid all capital gain taxes.

In-Kind Gifts
Gifts of goods or services are accepted by the organization with prior approval by the Freedom Church Board of Directors. Ordinarily these gifts will be credited toward the campaign at their full fair market values as determined by appraisal or other appropriate valuation techniques.
