Thanks for your interest in baptism! Baptism in water is by immersion and is a direct commandment of our Lord for those who have made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. The ordinance identifies the believer with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, and, in this union, accomplishes it’s own burial of our old sinful nature. Thus, water baptism is more than just symbolic, we believe that a spiritual transaction takes place in the burying of the old nature that has been crucified with Christ. (Matt 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).
At Freedom, we believe that baptism is more than an outward sign of an inward change. Romans 6:3-4 teaches that as we are crucified with Christ through our confession of Jesus, as Lord, we bury our old nature in the watery grave of baptism, and are raised to walk in newness of life. If you have confessed Jesus as Lord and believe that God is leading you to your next step, baptism, sign up today!
Baptisms occur the first Sunday of every month. If you would like to be baptized, sign up by clicking the button below!

SPLASH Class
Splash Class is an interactive experience designed to teach elementary-school-aged-kids and their parents about salvation and baptism in an engaging way that is easy to understand. The experience is designed not only for the kids but for parents to see what the Bible says about believing in Jesus as our Savior, why sin is a big deal, how to be saved, what baptism means, and how to be baptized.
Since the Bible teaches that salvation is the prerequisite for baptism, we will present the Gospel first and kids will have an opportunity to respond. Next, we will talk through the purpose of baptism, including taking time to actually get in a dry baptistry so kids can know what to expect. Each family will recieve tools to continue the conversation at home, and each kid will get a gift just for attending the class!
The SPLASH Class is JULY 20th at 12:45 pm in the Sanctuary and lasts for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Light snacks will be available. SPLASH Class is highly encouraged before a child is baptized at Freedom, and we ask that parents attend with their child.
